Well, what a day! Firstly, we were all gowned up with tubes in place and the spinal about to go in when our OB got a phone call which called him away for an emergency delivery. So, we were wheeled back out into the “holding” area and we waited… which is about right given the amount of time we’ve waited for her already.
But, my goodness she was worth the wait!
She was born at 9:04am and it’s now 3:25pm and she is yet to cry. She fed straight away once back in the ward without any troubles at all. She has some marks from the forceps but other than that, she’s a dream. Sam is doing really well and I’m about to go back to the hospital soon until later tonight.
